- Controlling method - Processionary Moths - GERMANY  - In order to control the moth better in residential areas in future, the option of deploying an unmanned helicopter is currently being tested. The tests are being conducted on a tree infested with oak processionary moths in Southern Brandenburg, near Paplitz. If this method proves successful, it will be of great significance for plant and health protection. The caterpillars of the processionary moth could then be controlled specifically on individual trees .*

This report, conducted in the 2006-2012 Action Plan on Climate Change, presents the results of a consultation with a descriptive quote based mainly on a qualitative approach. Thirty-two experts reflecting the diversity and structure of the monitoring of zoonoses were interviewed. They are defined by both their health sector (public health, human health, health of pets and livestock health wildlife including vectors), their monitoring function (manager, analyst, an epidemiologist , consulting physician, veterinarian, professional laboratory supplier of field data) and their type of employer. The overall objective was to describe the characteristics of current and future requirements of the monitoring system in Quebec zoonoses in the context of climate change and ecological . *
